Singing Men Of South Texas Muldoon local Martin Cherry, Jr. Is leading the Singing Men of Texas (South), a group of musically talented men from all over the South Texas Region in concert. Martin will have the group performing at his home church, Flatonia Baptist Church in Flatonia on Thursday evening Sept. 12 at 7 p.m.
These men have been meeting once a month to present concerts in local churches and this time they are coming to Martin’s home church. There are several local members involved in this group and would love all the local support they could get. There is no charge for admission. This is the chance to listen to a wonderful group of men and show some local support of Martin at the same time. Grab your family and friends and come out to enjoy all the music this talented group has to share. It is sure to be a great fall treat.
Mowing
This past week the Muldoon area was blessed to have TxDOT contractors come through and mow the tall grass along the roadsides. The grass had gotten tall and was beginning to cause some problems with visibility in some spots.
This was not a full mowing fence to fence, but a one swath cut. It was enough to help with being able to see animals coming on to the roadway. Also, the ability to see cars approaching when entering the roadway was greatly improved too.
Along with the mowing a striping crew was out in our area improving the stripes on the roadway. Striping was applied and will be much more visible for drivers along with adding an extra little bump if you cross the lines. This has really brightened up the roadways in the area.
