People in the Muldoon area are working on getting in better shape. The healthy lifestyle group, Better Body For Me, is meeting monthly to help each other gain better health through healthy lifestyle changes. Last month they had a nice turn out and talked about exercise.

The Better Body For Me group will be gathering again this month on Saturday, March 11 at the Muldoon Community Center, located just behind the park at 9 a.m. If you are looking to improve your health and are needing just a little support in your journey, then come and check out this group that are striving to improve their health one step at a time.

Out and About

Elton and Miko Kulak along with Sharon Anderson all of the Fort Worth area came through to layover and to see Elton’s parents, Dana and Darrell Kulak and his grandfather Devon Boehnke. They traveled on to a baby shower in El Campo for little “bean” Kulak that is soon to be arriving.

Nancie Blair had some help come through when her daughter Heather brought her great granddaughter Cadence to the Colorado Valley Quilt Show where Nancie was helping out. Nancie really enjoyed getting to show Cadence all the beautiful quilts, and even got Cadence to participate in “I Spy” challenge for the kids.

Road Hazards

Please slow down and take care when driving through Muldoon. Not only are there lots of tractors and farm trucks, but also large eighteen wheelers and other delivery trucks turning around in the roadways. Pay attention and look ahead to be aware of what is going on in the road ahead.

Traffic through the Muldoon area has increased with new all the construction all over the place, not only the solar farm, along with all the new people moving into the area. Sleepy little Muldoon seems to have woken up and gone back to its hay day when it was a bustling hub of a community.

Weather

Mornings in Muldoon have been cloudy and damp. No real rain fell, but the feel of spring has arrived. Barn Swallows have already started looking for spots to make their nests to raise their families.

Gun Raffle

The Muldoon Fire Department is planning their spring fundraiser for April 22. They are having a gun raffle along with a live auction. To purchase a ticket contact any Muldoon fire fighter.
