Muldoon Folks Sneak Away for Some Summer Relaxation

Dana and Darrell Kulak along with Eric Field took Devon Boehnke to his great granddaughter, Delilah Zuhn’s first birthday party. They traveled to Rosenburg to Delilah’s parents, Jenny and Aaron Zuhn’s home to meet up with family to celebrate this special birthday Kathy Chlumsky traveled to Austin to have a Grandma and Granddaughter day with her granddaughter Olivia. They spent the day shopping and having lunch. Kathy also got to spend a little time with Olivia’s brother, Marcus. She got to have some grandma story time and she got to play with some trains with Marcus. It was a delightful day with the grandkids.
Pimy and Micheál Saunders recently enjoyed a visit from their son Michael and his wife Christian along with the two granddaughters Landry and Blakely for the weekend. They got the chance to celebrate Landry’s 8th birthday. Joining in this fun celebration were Aunt Madison and Uncle Julio, and cousin Katherine along with Mike and Joy Hostetter who just really enjoyed celebrating their great granddaughter.
James, Bobby and Joan Ivy enjoyed a quick visit out to their place by Samuel Strath-meier of Bunde, Germany. Samuel was among the Germans who were helping with SMACK at Flatonia Baptist Church. He was Joan Ivy and Steven McFarlin’s interpreter for the Marlin’s team at Baseball Camp in Germany last year and was thrilled to come out to Muldoon and see what Muldoon area looked like and experience some Texas country. He got to pet some calves, drive through the pastures and then eat supper with us before being whisked back to Flatonia for more exciting missionary duties in the community.
Roberta Gullick had several special people come to the house to pay respects in the passing of her husband Milton. Dropping in were Dr. F Badu from the Houston \\A; Dr. Ann Trevino Mears of Tennessee; Johnny and Debbie Finton from Arkansas; grandson and family Austin, Letayah, and Aurora from South Dakota; Steve and Sharon Walker from Milton’s home church in Houston and Milton’s sister from Crocket all came by to visit with Roberta at the house.

The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is gearing up for the fall. They are starting the planning for their Fall Festival. Chris Leviton is gearing up for a meeting to create a more solid plan on what all is going to be happening. There also is going to be a live auction. Anyone wanting to donate some really nice items are encouraged to contact the church and let them know. This is a great time to join in and find out what the SG2C is all about.
Services for SG2C are on Sunday mornings beginning with coffee and fellowship at 9:30 a.m. This would be a great opportunity to check out what all is going on. Then at 10 a.m. the worship service takes place.This church has been a fast growing and strong community-based church that reaches out into the community and supports both the park association and the fire department. If you are looking for a good solid Bible based church in the Muldoon area, this is it. Stop in on any Sunday morning and feel the welcome feeling this group just exudes.
The youth gathering is on Wednesday nights 6-8 p.m. for teens ages 13-18 at SG2C.
