Muldoon, Flatonia Fire Depts. Fight Blaze on Three Mile Rd.

The Flatonia Fire & Rescue along with the Muldoon Volunteer Fire Department battled a fire on Three Mile Rd. in these extreme temperatures on Sunday, July 10. Fayette County EMS was present as well as Air Evac, who conducted a flyover. The Texas Forest Service also assisted.

The fire is believed to have started from a power line that fell on a limb. Firefighters received the initial call around 5 p.m. Firefighters cleared the scene around 8:29 p.m.

The fire caused a power outage for several Fayette Electric customers in the area. Power was restored around 5:45 p.m.
