The second Saturday in Muldoon saw the little community alive with people moving around the streets under a beautiful moon and some ground fog following the rain. They traveled from the Muldoon Museum to the Stray Gathering Cowboy Church to the fire station. The museum had cookies and treats for sale, all while the littles and a few bigs got to visit with Mrs. Claus.

Then the Stray Gathering Cowboy Church opened up with cookies and hot chocolate to enjoy for the adults. The kids, meanwhile, got to visit with Santa, make crafts and just enjoy playing.

The evening ended with the Muldoon Volunteer Fire Department hosting their Christmas party. They served fried fish and trimmings along with some delicious sides that the attendees brought along to share.

Christmas Eve Services If you are looking for somewhere to spend Christmas Eve, join The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church. They will be holding a candlelight service on Christmas Eve at 6:30 p.m. They want to invite everyone in the community to come out and enjoy remembering the real reason for the Christmas season.

They hold a beautiful candlelight service that brings home the Christmas message in a beautiful way. This is a wonderful chance to come and experience the warmth of this fast growing, friendly church.

Out and About

Kathy and Frank Chlumsky have been busy keeping up with the grandkids. They got to cheer on grandson Hunter Dong as he competed in another wrestling tournament. He did really well with five matches and four wins by Pin. He medaled a gold in D-3 Rookie and a silver in D-3 Open. Then granddaugh-ter Olivia Williams had her hip hop/musical Holla-Day dance recital in Austin. She’s having such a great time with her team and doing awesome really finding her dance talent.

James and I traveled to Stafford on Tuesday to attend the TSTC graduation of Tadan Alvarado with his associate degree in diesel mechanics. We were not the only Muldoon people there to support Tadan but were joined by Steven and Penny McFarlin. We all joined his family with celebrating this milestone in this young man’s life.

Weather

Muldoon did get to see a little bit of rain. There were some light showers that fell in the area just prior to a cold front coming through. It did help put the area into a more Christmas type feeling. One morning dropped into the twenties and was really a change following the warmer days we had been experiencing.

Neighborhood Watch

As the holiday season is upon us, please keep an eye out for your neighbors. If you see anything odd or out of place give them a call. There has been a lot of people in places they do not have permission to be and the law has been notified, but we have to pull together as a community to stop this. Call and report suspicious activity to the sheriff’s office.

Strangers and strange vehicles need to be reported. Call and check on your neighbors to make sure they have company and the vehicles are welcome guests, not someone doing something they should not. Besides, this gives you a reason to wish them the very best during this holiday time. Merry Christmas.
