The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange will host the 11th annual Heritage Fest & Muziky on October 20-21 The Festival will begin on Friday afternoon on the deck in front of the Main Center and TCHCC’s famous homemade Chicken & Dumplings will be served while it lasts in the Hanslik Banquet Hall beginning at 5:30 pm.

Saturday, the big day kicks off at 10 am with an opening ceremony at 10:30 am. and will continue through 10 p.m. that night.

In attendence as part of Saturday’s events will be Natalie Poveda of Grapevine, who was crowned Miss Texas Teen this summer.

“It’s exciting that someone with a strong Czech background has won,” said Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center manager Mark Hermes.

Natalie is the daughter of Antony and Larisa Ludeke Poveda and the granddaughter of Joreen Kocurek Ludeke and is a 2023 graduate of Grapevine High School and plans to pursue a business degree at Texas A&M University.

Here’s a look at the full schedule of events this weekend at the Czech Center:
