McFarlins Celebrate Anniversary

Penny and Steven McFarlin took off for a wonderful fun weekend in Las Vegas for Penny’s birthday and their wedding anniversary. The couple enjoyed lots of people watching while eating at some fantastic restaurants.

They stayed in the Palazzo Tower at the Venetian as the base for their explorations. They went on an open air bus tour and got to see the Cirque du Soleil show “Mystere” at Treasure Island. They also went to see Ron White. As a fun thing to do they got a garra fish pedicure. They enjoyed getting away and having some fun.

Also celebrating his birthday, but much closer to home was Martin Cherry Sr. He celebrated with cake with the grandkids Caroline and Mitchell Cherry and their parents Martin Jr and Lora Cherry.

Celebrate Palm Sunday

Devon Boehnke and Dana and Darrell Kulak traveled down to his daughter and son in law, April and Kenneth Pospisil Wharton to celebrate Palm Sunday with the Boehnke family. A large number of the family was able to come and join in all the Easter fun. Devon enjoyed seeing all of his great grandkids and watching them hunts Easter eggs. The family enjoyed lots of bar b que and a bunch of sides along with loads of fruit.

John and Debra Schwartzenburg hosted a big bunch of Schwartzenburgs over the weekend. John’s brother and sister in law Irvin and Kayleen Schwartzenburg came in from New Caney and were joined by their son and daughter in law, David and Alejandra and their son Lucian. Joining in the fun were Lauren Schwartzenburg and Eric Prause slipped in for family fun. The group enjoyed cooking and they had a big blow out celebrating Kayleen’s birthday. The traveling Schwartzen burgs took advantage of being out in the country to take some bluebonnet pictures and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the country.

Neighborhood Watch

Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open when you are out and about in the area. Be on the alert and make notes of strange vehicles that you might see in and around the Muldoon area. With all the criminal activity lately we need to be alert. If you see something odd or out of place please call that neighbor and let them know. They might have something being done, and then again they may not. We all need to pull together to help combat this activity.

There have been a few stomach bugs going around the area. Check on your friends and neighbors to make sure they are ok and do not need any help. There also a number of people who have been suffering from allergies. With all the pollen in the air there has been a lot of sneezing and coughing going on. Spring has defiantly come to Muldoon with the yellow pollen everywhere.
