Lunch-N-Learn Series Continues April 9

The Bluebonnet Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn educational program is a series of 9 informational meetings designed to provide gardening or general landscaping information for homeowners. Fayette County Master Gardeners plan and present a variety of programs from experts in the area and across the state. This series is designed with the homeowner in mind; bring your lunch and learn about a variety of topics that help you have a more productive garden, prettier flower beds, or how to better understand your landscape ecosystems.

The topic this month, “Pollinator Gardens,” is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9 and the guest speaker is Sheri Wilcox Texas Master Naturalist. Careful planning is essential to creating a successful pollinator garden. There are easy steps to make sure you have everything covered before you make your investment including choosing your location, identifying soil type and sunlight. Proper plant selection can provide blooms, habitat, and food sources needed to attract pollinators to your garden and add color and life all year long.

Registration begins at 11:50 a.m. till 12:05 p.m. and the program lasts till 12:50 p.m. at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange. All Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn programs are free to the public and you are encouraged to bring your own lunch and drink. Light refreshments are available by Master Gardener hospitality hosts.
