Loyalty Day Recognized by VFW, Auxiliary
Loyalty Day is a day set aside for the reaffirmation of loyalty to the United States and for recognizing the heritage of American freedom. In 1958, Congress enacted Public Law 529 designating the first day of May of each year as Loyalty Day. Fayette Memorial Post 5254 and Auxiliary of La Grange held a joint program on their meeting date, May 17, commemorating the event. Pictured with Post Commander Andy Kruppa are Auxiliary members Elizabeth Kallus and Marilyn Kothmann, newly installed Secretary and President respectively, who presented the program, after which a catered meal was served.
