European Adventure
Jim Sula’s European travels with son Michael and daughter-in-law Helene continued as they entered Paris.
They saw theArc de Triomphe and the enormous Palace of Versailles with a gilded chapel. The group walked around Notre Dame as a baking competition took place on the grounds. It is still under construction but the spire has been rebuilt. They viewed the Eiffel Tower from a few feet away.
From Paris, the trio flew to Dublin, Ireland, and viewed the countryside, eating in fishing villages and enjoyed an ale in Sean’s Bar, the oldest pub in Europe. The Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary featured ancient church ruins on top and the stones of the spire were dry stacked. Sula stated that it was a photographer’s paradise because of the architecture. Sula stood on a peat bog and visited a sheep farm where he got to hold a baby lamb. The trip concluded back in London.
