Locals Participate in Crawfish Fest Cook-Off

This past weekend friends from both Fayette and Lee County joined together to participate in the 2023 POC Crawfish Fest Cook-off in Port O’Connor. They brought home Peoples Choice and 4th Place Crawfish.

FLHS Booster Club

Faith Lutheran High School Booster Club is selling 9 x 13 Chicken Spaghetti casseroles, available for pick up on Monday, May 22. Pre-order by Monday, May 15. Cost is $35 each, limited amounts available. Call (979) 242-2889 to order.

FLHS Spring Thing

Faith Lutheran High School is proud to present “The Spring Thing,” a showcase of the students work in the fine arts department. This will include vocal, instrumental and handbell pieces. Everyone is invited to join them for this event on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 p.m.

Golf Tournament

Faith Lutheran High School will be holding their annual golf tournament fundraiser on Saturday, May 13 at Frisch Auf Country Club in La Grange. Couples Club Dinner

The Couples Club at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda will have their annual BBQ Chicken Dinner on Mothers Days, May 14. Chickens are $13 and cups of sauce are $3. Pick up is at Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10:30 a.m.-noon. You may place your order by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333. Deadline to preorder is Monday, May 8.

Camp Lone Star

Camp Lone Star in La Grange Summer Camp Registration is now open. They offer weeklong and weekend programs for ages 5-18 to have an adventurous Christ-centered experience. Holy Cross Services

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Confirmation Reunion Service will be held Sunday May 7. Classes celebrating are 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 55, 60-years will be recognized. If you were part of these classes, please attend and help spread the word to your classmates.

Faith Lutheran High School will have part time openings on its faculty for the 2023-2024 academic year.
