Local Farm Bureau Awards Scholarships

Jordan Elizabeth Sommer and Blake T. Meyer were awarded scholarships from the Swiss Alp/ Ammannsville/Dubina Farm Bureau. Jordan’s parents are Melissa and James Sommer. Jordan plans on attending Texas A&M University, College Station. Her proposed college major will be Animal Science. Blake is the son of Virginia and Thomas Meyer. Blake plans on attending TSTC - Richmond Campus. His proposed college major is Associates in Welding. A $750 scholarship was awarded to Amanda M. Urban, daughter of Michelle and Milton Urban is a graduate of La Grange High School. Her future plans are to go to Blinn College and then transfer to Texas A&M University. Amanda’s proposed college major is Political Science.

A $750 scholarship was awarded to Blane C. Warnken, the son of Sandra and Kevin Warnken. After finishing his basics at Blinn College in Brenham, Blane plans on going to Texas A&M University and gaining an agricultural degree. Blane’s Proposed College Major is Animal Science and Nutrition.
