Local Artists Featured at Texas Watercolor Society’s Art Show
FAYETTEVILLE News
There’s something in the water in our sleepy little town ... and it’s color. The Texas Watercolor Society’s (TWCS) 76th Annual Art Show is judged this year by awardwinning international artist and designer Stephen Zhang.
Zhang is an assistant professor at the University of North Texas. Out of 47 entrants selected for the show, five artists hail from Fayetteville.
Mary Quiros and four of her multi-talented students— Kathy Callaway, Martha Dennis, Darsha Mucha and Kathy Sauer—all artists in their own rights, were chosen by Zhang to be featured in the show. Of the five local artists, two received show awards: Mary Quiros and Martha Dennis. Many congratulations to them both. To enjoy the show in San Antonio, which runs through July 31, visit texaswatercolorsociety. org for more information. Many thanks to Nancy Cain for the write-up and photos. Fayetteville VFD
