Hermann Sons Lodge 151 Hermann Sons Life members met at the American Legion Hall in Round Top for their monthly meeting held Thursday evening, Aug. 22. President Linda Mattocks called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. A great attendance and all officers were present. There was one new transfer into the Lodge. The meeting covered the importance of members updating their contact information; namely ensuring that cell phones were listed as each person’s first point of contact rather than landlines.
The Lodge’s Country Store, which will be set up on Oct. 5 at the Ledbetter Fireman’s community hall, was also discussed. Set-up volunteers are asked to be there by 2 p.m. Anyone who is unable to bring their items on Saturday is asked to drop them off at Linda’s home near Carmine. A decision about freewill donations for all items will be finalized at the next meeting.
In the past, it has been brought up if another Lodge could possibly share this meeting space next year. That will be decided after their October meeting.
