Rock the Halls live dueling piano show is set for Saturday, May 27 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Round Top Dance Hall, with 100 percent of net proceeds benefiting the Ride to End Alzeheimer’s, The Round Top Family Library, and the Round TopArea Historical Society. Frank Martin Gilligan will perform at Busted Oaks Cellars Saturday, May 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18 is Bingo Night from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, May 19 it’s 90’s Movies Trivia Night from 6 to 8 p.m.

Robert Zientek and Ross Curtis will be at The Stone Cellar Friday, May 12 at 7 p.m. BigFoot Wallace Band will be at the Pub Saturday, May 13 at 7 p.m. Next weekend, catch Risky Liver Band on Friday and The Broken Group Saturday.

The Summer Antique Show is set for Saturday, June 3 through Monday, June 5. This condensed version of the world-famous Spring and Fall shows will be comprised of several local businesses.

Chamber of Commerce Friday, May 19, come check out the new Chamber office located on the back side of the Round Top Real Estate office and meet the Chamber’s new Executive Director, Jeffrey, while enjoying coffee and breakfast sweets. Please register by visiting exploreroundtop. com.

Wednesday, May 31, learn how to maximize and use your member portal on the Chamber’s website. Box lunch will be served. The cost is $20 per person. Register by May 29.

Round Top Rifle Hall

Please note a correction the Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second and third Mondays each month. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6 to 8 p.m. On Monday, May 15 come out to enjoy live music by Cool Freddie and the Crew while you enjoy your burger. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.

Town of Round Top

Regular Council meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Hall located at 100 Main Street unless otherwise posted. Citizens are encouraged and welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on the website at www.townofroundtop. org at least seventytwo hours prior to the meeting.

Round Top-Carmine ISD

Transfer and enrollment packets for the 2023-2024 school year are available on the school’s website. Information regarding the waitlist for tuition-based pre-k is available as well. Believe it or not the school year is winding down. Kindergarten and sixth-grade graduations are set for May 23. Students have an early release on the last day of school, Thursday, May 25.

Round Top Family Library

The Round Top Family Library is open Monday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Yoga is Mondays at 5 p.m., Art After School is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m., Chess Club is Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. and Kids Garden is Thursdays at 4 p.m.

Weekly Preschool story time for 3 and 4-year-old children takes places Wednesdays from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Preschoolers will hear an age-appropriate book and participate in activities. The parent or guardian must be present.

Family game night is held every second Saturday of the month from 2 to 5 p.m.. Come to the Historic Rummel Haus for board games and lots of fun. Parent or guardian must be present. A light snack and water will be served.

The monthly Home School Play date will be Monday, May 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library playground. Meet other homeschooling families and enjoy the day under the oaks.

An adult art class is set for Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The children of participants will have an opportunity to make an art project in art barn during this time as well. Registration required! Call or email the library to sign up.

Registration for the library’s summer programs is now open. Children entering Kindergarten through grade six are welcome to join in the fun. There will be two summer sessions with classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 5 p.m. These are free programs, and all are welcome to attend. Festival Hill

Texas Brass Fest will be Saturday, May 27 at 1 p.m. at the Festival Concert Hall. Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio Brass bands will each perform concerts, showcasing some of Texas’s best brass musicians.

Master Classes begin Tuesday, June 6 featuring Elisabeth Adkins on the violin. Different musicians are featured each day throughout June and July, with the closing concert on July 15. Tickets are available online or by calling the office at (979) 249-3129. Tickets may be purchased at the door. The Round Top Lodge 151 monthly meeting will be May 25. The new serving committee will be Ted and Margie Stardig, Barton and Lila Garlin, Pearlie and Wayne Wagner and LaVerne Albers.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly service at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. The May monthly mass was held Tuesday, May 2. View the bulletin online at stjohnfayetteville. com for more information.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m.

Bible study at Bethlehem Lutheran Church was held Thursday morning, May 4. The class covered the discussion that God has been with us from the dawn of time. His reign is about today as much as it is about Heaven. Julie Wantland served as hostess. The next study will be June 2 at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to join.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee and Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Game Day is held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. Bring a snack, board game, dominoes, etc. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. Noisy offering is the third Sunday of each month.

St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.
