LG Square Dancers Attend Convention in Alabama

La Grange square dancers from the La Grange Roadrunner Square Dance Club definitely know how to have fun. A group of local dancers headed off to Mobile, Ala. the weekend of June 2225 for the 72nd National Square Dance Convention. Mary and Rick Grey, Danny Smith, Jenny Baker, Les and Terry Wyatt and Dennis Artz and Tricia Morley (local round dance leaders) had a great time along with 234 additional dancers from Texas with 2,084 nationwide. Square dancing is a great way to make friends, keep the mind sharp and travel. The convention included square dance, round dance, line dance, clogging as well as lots of time to meet new people and see the sights. The La Grange Roadrunners will begin lessons for new dancers on September 5th at the Randolph Center on Pearl St. at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome, no need for a partner.
