LG Roadrunners Enjoy Eating in Round Top

In the past, the La Grange Roadrunners Square Dance Club would normally take advantage of a calendar month by taking the fifth Tuesday for a get together at a restaurant that has advertised in its patrons book.

Because of COVID, the club had been unable to continue doing this for the past two years. However, the club was able to hold its dance the second Saturday in March this year, members decided that it was time to get back into being able to do special get togethers.

So on Tuesday, March 29, several members went to eat at Danny’s Tin Cup Cafe which was set up to serve the public during the antique shows that are held in Round Top as well as other locations in the area

Members took a chance, driving among the abundance of antique dealers, buyers and sightseers and arrived by 5 p.m. Danny, who is a member of the club, had purchased his food trailer in Louisiana and had set it up outside of Round Top for this years events. Danny is known for his preparation of Creole and Cajun foods, as he once had a restaurant in New Orleans. The seasonings that are used for these foods make it hard not to enjoy eating them.

All members who came out for the event really enjoyed the food and are already looking forward to going back in the fall.
