LG Police Respond to Reported Dog Bite Incident
La Grange Police Report chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 28 through June 3.
Animal Complaint
On May 31, Animal Control Officer Justin Pietsch picked up a dog that bit a lady in the 300 block of N. Madison. Officer took the dog to the Fayette County Vet Clinic.
On May 31, Zwahr responded to the 300 block of N. Madison with animal control to an animal complaint.
On June 1, Pietsch picked up four cats in the 200 block of S. Ellinger and then impounded.
On June 1, Pietsch talked to owner about a dog getting out in the 600 block of N. Monroe.
On June 1, Pietsch checked on bees in a tree in the 500 block of S. Main.
On June 2, Officer Mitchell Maxwell spoke with caller in the 400 block of E. Roitsch in regard to an animal complaint.
Assault
On May 28, Officer Brett Meinardus spoke with a caller in the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass who reported an assault with a stranger that had taken place.
Accident
On May 30, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to an accident.
On May 30, Officer Jeffrey Archerd responded to the 1600 block of S. US Hwy 77 for an accident, two subjects were transported to S. Austin by EMS.
On June 1, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Colorado for an accident.
On June 1, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 200 block of Live Oak for an accident.
On June 1, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 business where complainant advised that someone ran into her vehicle while she was in the store and then drove off.
Agency Assist
On June 3, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to an unruly inmate.
On June 3, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson in regard to an agency assist.
Burglary of a Vehicle
On May 29, Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of N Main in regard to a burglary of a vehicle.
Citizen Assist
On June 2, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a citizen who requested officers to find subject who was using her vehicle.
On June 3, Maxwell spoke with a caller in the 600 block of E. Pearl in regard to a citizen assist.
Civil Matter
On May 31, Officer Kevin Currington stood by while female subject got some of her things and left the residence in the 400 block of S. Vail.
Disturbance
On May 28, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Jefferson for a verbal disturbance.
Fire Alarm
On May 29, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a fire. Employees put the fire out.
Harassment
On May 29, Maxwell spoke with a caller in the 400 block of N. Main in regard to harassment.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On June 1, Currington checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Mode Lane.
On June 2, Archerd was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place in regard to a suspicious vehicle.
