La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his departments responded to during the week of May 14-20.

Animal Complaint

On May 15, Animal control officer Dean Ahlschlager went to the 100 block of S. Lynwood to check on a snake.

On May 15, Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 600 block of S. Meyer.

On May 16, Ahlschlager picked up four cats in the 200 block of Hwy. 159.

On May 17, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 400 block of E. Roitsch for an animal complaint.

On May 17, Ahlschlager talked to the owner of a dog running loose in the 400 block of E. Roitsch.

On May 18, Ahlschlager picked up a raccoon in the 200 block of S. Lynnwood.

On May 18, Keeney responded to the area of S. Main and Lowerline for a loose dog.

On May 20, Ahlschlager checked on a snake in the 500 block of E. Pecan. Could not locate the snake.

Accident

On May 19, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Travis for a two-vehicle accident.

On May 19, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2100 block of W. State Hwy 71 business for a two-vehicle accident.

Burglary

On May 14, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 400 block of W. Lafayette for an open door. The door had been forced open.

Criminal Mischief

On May 16, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 600 block of W. Travis in regard to criminal mischief.

On May 16, Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to criminal mischief.

Agency Assist

On May 19, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to an agency assist. Disturbance

On May 14, Officer Kevin Currington responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for a family disturbance.

On May 15, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane for a disturbance.

On May 15, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a disturbance.

My 19, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a verbal disturbance.

Family Violence

On May 16, Archerd was dispatched to the 600 block of E. Pecan for a family violence assault.

Harassment

On May 19, Maxwell spoke to a subject in regard to harassment in the 800 block of S. Vail.

Loud Music

On May 20, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Brown in regard to loud music.

Possession

On May 18, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for a possession of vape (THC) On May 20, Maxwell conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Crockett. Subject was cited and released.

Reckless Driving

On May 20, Haynie was dispatched to the 800 lock of Eckel in regard to reckless driving.

Soliciting Without a Permit On May 17, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a white Kia with paper plates driving around the parking lot, the driver was trying to sell jewelry and saying he needed help. Officer checked the area and found no sign of the vehicle.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle On May 15, Haynie checked on a suspicious person in the 200 block of W. Travis.

On May 17, Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for a suspicious person.

Theft

On May 14, Keeney spoke with a caller about a theft in the 400 block of Main.

On May 19, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a theft. Warrant Arrest

On May 16, Wostarek arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant in the 800 block of Mode Lane.

On May 20, Haynie initiated a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Carroll Lane and arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant.
