La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 30-Aug. 5.

Accident

On July 31, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 1800 block of W. Travis for an accident.

On July 31, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business for a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot.

On Aug. 5, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the intersection of S. Franklin and E. Walnut for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.

Agency Assist

On Aug. 5, Anderson received a call to assist with an inmate in the jail.

Alarm

On Aug. 1, Anderson responded to the 2100 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for an alarm on the fire exit door. Business was found secure and call cleared.

On Aug. 3, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to an alarm in the 600 block of S. Madison.

Animal Complaint

On July 31, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 800 block of S. Jefferson, which was then impounded.

On July 31, Ahlschlager picked up a sick raccoon in the 400-block of N. Monroe.

On Aug. 1, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to One St. Mark’s Place in response to an animal complaint.

On Aug. 1, Anderson received a call for two loose dogs in the 600 block of S. Franklin. Officer checked the area and could not locate any dogs.

On Aug. 1, Ahlschlager got a cat out of a tree in the 100 block of S. Reynolds.

On Aug. 1, Ahlschlager put a dog back in the yard in the 800 block of S. Franklin.

On Aug. 1, Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 1800 block of Hwy. 159 which was then impounded.

On Aug. 2, Ahlschlager checked on two dogs running loose in the 600 block of S. Franklin. Owner picked them up.

Agency Assist

On July 31, Anderson assisted Fayette County EMS in the 3000 block of Cedar Creek.

Burglary of Habitation

On July 30, Officer Timothy Medack was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Crocket in regard to a theft.

Civil Matter

OnAug. 2, Maxwell spoke with a subject in regard to a civil matter in the 1000 block of Salm Street.

On Aug. 2, Officer Steven Haynie spoke with a subject in regard to a civil matter in the 1100 block of E. Guadalupe.

On Aug. 4, Anderson responded to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a child custody issue.

Citizen Assist

On July 31, Anderson responded to a vehicle unlock in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business. Paul’s auto was contacted, and the vehicle was unlocked.

On Aug. 2, Medack was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Roitsch in regard to a citizen assist.

On Aug. 3, Maxwell was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to a busted water line.

Disturbance

On July 30, Medack was dispatched to the 200 block of Northpointe in regard to a disturbance.

On July 31, Officer Brett Meinadus responded to the 1000 block of E. Travis where complainant wanted to report an issue she was having with a subject.

On July 31, Keeney responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a non-family disturbance.

On Aug. 4, Keeney responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in response to a non-violent family disturbance.

On Aug. 5, Keeney responded to the 500 block of S. Cindy Lane in regard to a disturbance.

Found Narcotics

On Aug. 4, Anderson received a call in regard to possibly found narcotics in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business.

Harassment

On July 31, Keeney responded to the 1600 block of N. Jefferson for a harassment complaint.

Parking Violation

On Aug. 5, Meinardus responded to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for a parking complaint. Driver was located and moved the vehicle.

Suspicious Vehicle

On July 30, Officer Steven Haynie checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.

On July 30, Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Pearl in regard to a suspicious person.

On Aug. 1, Meinardus responded the 200 block of S. Ellinger for suspicious circumstances.

On Aug. 1, Keeney responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for a suspicious vehicle.

On Aug. 2, Keeney responded to the 500 block of S. Meyer in response to a suspicious person.

On Aug. 2, Haynie checked on a suspicious person in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.

On Aug. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to suspicious persons.

On Aug. 4, Maxwell checked out a suspicious person in the 100 block of W. Travis.

Traffic Hazard

On Aug. 5, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of N. Jefferson for a vehicle stopped in the middle lane of traffic. Officer assisted driver in pushing it off the roadway.

On Aug. 5, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of E. Travis in regard to an 18-wheeler stopped in a moving lane of traffic. Office found the driver and he moved the vehicle.

Theft

On Aug. 2, Archerd was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a theft.

On Aug. 5, Anderson responded to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to a possible theft.

Vehicle Fire

On Aug. 3, Haynie was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass in regard to a vehicle fire.

Warrant Arrest

On Aug. 2, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to suspicious person. Officer arrested one subject for an outstanding felony warrant.

On Aug. 3, Maxwell arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant in the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.

Welfare Check

On July 31, Meinardus responded to the 2100 block of N. Von Minden where caller stated he was notified by an employee that another employee at the location as possibly intoxicated.
