LG City Replica to be Unveiled at Depot Saturday
The Friends of the La Grange Railroad Depot are excited to unveil the layout replica of La Grange including a working N-scale model train) made by Danny and Linda Hass, which was featured in a recent Fayette County Record article. The Depot group acquired the layout from the Hasses the same day that the article appeared in the FCR, and it has been moved to its permanent home at the depot museum (260 N Washington St.) They will have a “formal” unveiling at 10:30 a.m. on National Train Day which is this Saturday, May 13. The unveiling will also be livecast on the depot’s Facebook page. They also will have other model train layouts on display that day (including a massive Lego display), and a scavenger hunt will be part of the festivities. The depot will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
