LG Career Fair a Success

The City of La Grange resumed hosting their annual career fair on Thursday, April 14, at the Historic Casino Hall. With over 30 employers on hand, the fair had quite the variety of job opportunities from part-time seasonal jobs to full-time professional careers. “A new features to this year’s fair was the interest from local high schools. We had over 100 students from three local high schools attend. They were each given a bingo card to help them break the ice with local employers with many of them walking away with interview dates,” said Hannah Garlick, Economic Development Manager for the City of La Grange. The City of La Grange is looking to host multiple opportunities for youth workforce development throughout the year along with career-oriented opportunities to help our local businesses obtain the staffing that is needed to be successful.
