Lehmanns Continue Flag Tradition at Fairgrounds

New construction on Highway 77 did not slow down the Fair’s Patriotic committee honoring our Veterans, First Responders, Police and Firefighters. Erich, Daniel, Johann, and Caleb Lehmann have been setting up the Patriot Flags at the Fair for many years. Since TxDOT has been working on expanding highway 77, the committee had to relocate our Patriotic flag display this year.

After numerous 811 calls on where exactly they could safely post our flags, (which is a great free service for Texans to safely dig), it was determined there were limited places because of all the underground utilities at the fair grounds. After careful examination, they were finally given clearance to post the flags along the north side of the roadway. “What road way?” Johann Lehmann asked. “Veterans Memorial Drive!” his dad said.

“How fitting!” said Caleb Lehmann.
