Ledbetter Lane of Lights Now Open

The Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring its annual Christmas Lane of Lights.
Come enjoy the fun family event for all ages with a hayride through a lighted path of Christmas reflections from 6-8:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per person, cash or check only. Children two years and under are free. There will be live musical entertainment and Santa will be there each night.
Tickets are available near the intersection of FM 1291 and Hwy 290.
Dates are Dec. 6 and 7, Dec. 13 and 14, and Dec. 20 and 21. All proceeds benefit the Ledbetter VFD.

MLLC Christmas Program Martin Luther Lutheran Church is having its annual Sunday School Christmas program this Sunday, Dec. 8 during the 10 a.m. worship service. Come see “A Country Kind of Christmas.”
RT-C School News
Varsity boys’ basketball team hosts Burton on Dec. 3 at a time to be determined. Varsity girls play at Richards on Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. Girls will participate in the North Zulch tournament Dec. 5-7.
Boys will participate in their RT-C tournament on Dec. 7.
Looking ahead, Christmas holiday break begins on Dec. 19. Dec. 18 will be an early release day-12:30 p.m. Classes will resume on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. Teachers have a work day on Jan. 7. A professional development day will be Jan. 8.
Bingo
Bingo in Ledbetter will be held this Sunday, Dec. 8 from 2-4 p.m. at the Ledbetter Community Center.
Seniors (age 60 and older, plus guests) are welcome to enjoy the afternoon. Cost is $5 per card, which covers 10 plus games and prizes.
Chips, snacks and drinks are available for a freewill donation.
This is a nonprofit community event for entertainment. Burn Ban
A burn ban remains in effect for Fayette County.

AA meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion, observing the Second Sunday in Advent, is at 6 p.m.
Sunday Worship with Holy Communion is at 10 a.m. The Sunday School Christmas program is during worship.

Quilting for Lutheran World Relief is Monday at 9 a.m.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is in Carmine on Thursdays from 1-4 p.m. at the Carmine Hall.
They accept clean No. 1 and No. 2 plastic bottles and jugs. Please separate them. Note that numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 plastics and plastic bags are not accepted.
Also accepted are dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, all colors glass, steel food cans and aluminum cans. Attendants are available to help unload.
