Ledbetter Lane of Lights Continues this Weekend

The Ledbetter Christmas Lane of Lights continues this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10. Other dates are Dec. 16-17; and 23. Enjoy a hayride through a lighted path of Christmas reflections. Santa will be there each night. Tickets are available from 6-8:30 p.m. at FM 1291 and Hwy 290.
All proceeds go to the Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department. Senior Bingo
Bingo for seniors is Dec. 11 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Ledbetter Community Center.
Heritage Committe
The Heritage Committee of the Carmine Chamber of Commerce will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the Chamber’s Museum in Carmine at 10 a.m.
The topic of discussion will be “The Evolution of Banking” with Calvin Coufal, president of Carmine State Bank, offering insight into the banking industry, past and present.
All are welcome to attend.
RT-C ISD News
Round Top-Carmine ISD Holiday Band Concert will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Festival Hill Concert Hall in Round Top.
Basketball season has begun.
Dec. 16 is the last day of classes for 2022 with early release at 12:30 p.m.
MLLC Christmas Program
The Martin Luther Lutheran Church Sunday School Christmas Program will be held Sunday, Dec. 11 during the 10 a.m. worship service. All are invited.
Carmine Lions Club
Carmine Lions Club will meet on Tuesday, December 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Carmine Volunteer Fire Department Annex Building.
Plans are to play Bingo and have an evening of fun and fellowship. Please bring a party type snack or dessert if you can.
Toy Drive for Deputy Santa is this month. If you would like to donate some toys you can bring them to the December meeting or take them to the collection box at Carmine State Bank.

Carmine Volunteer Fire Department drill night will be held Dec. 8.

Advent worship service is Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. A meal will be served at 6 p.m. Both will be in the Fellowship Hall.
Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 12 noon.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Worship with Holy Communion observing the Third Sunday in Advent is at 10 a.m. The Sunday School Christmas program will be presented. The service will be on the mllccarmine. com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Quilting for Camp For All is Monday at 9 a.m.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Attendants are available to help unload dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean no. 1 and no. 2 food grade plastics (milk cartons should be separated from other plastic), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
