Ledbetter Bingo Date Change

Bingo in Ledbetter has been changed to the third Sunday, which is June 15, due to the Ledbetter Homecoming being held on the second Sunday. Play is from 2-4 p.m. with the doors opening at 1:15 p.m. Cost is $5 per card which covers all games and prizes.

Chips, snacks, and drinks are available for a donation.

RTC School News 

Registration is now open for sports summer camps at Round Top-Carmine ISD. Visit www.rtcisd.net/o/page/ athletics to register and for information about summer skill work, basketball, volleyball, and baseball camps.

Information is also available online for incoming seventh to twelfth graders to attend open gym for basketball and volleyball from 5-7 p.m. on certain Mondays during June and July Administrative offices will be open through Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Offices will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday June 30-July 4.

Classes for the 2025-2026 school year will begin on Aug. 13.

Flag Disposal 

If anyone has worn or unserviceable United States or Texas flags to dispose of, the Carmine Chamber of Commerce has bins available for drop off at The Village Market, Carmine Post Office, and Museum/Depot on Sylvan Street.

Every October, the chamber hosts Carmine Night Out, where the Quade-Werchan Post 338 American Legion members conduct a flag retirement ceremony.

Carmine VFD 

The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department meets June 12 for drill night at 6 p.m.

The Firemen’s Feast and Fundraiser will be held on July 20 with a fried chicken meal for drive-through only. Tickets will be sold for a drawing.

Chamber Casino Night The Carmine Chamber of Commerce 2025 Casino Night will be held on Aug. 9. The theme is “Casino Night 007” and will be at the Carmine Hall beginning at 6 p.m.

MLLC News 

Vacation Bible School will be held June 22-26 from 5:30-7:45 p.m. The theme is “True North: Trusting God in a Wild World.” Go to http:// mllccarmine.com to register as soon as possible. The closing program will be on June 29 during the 10 a.m. worship service.

Senior Citizens meal pick-up and domino party is Wednesday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in the Mission and Ministry Building.

Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 2 p.m.

AA meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Worship with Holy Communion observing the Holy Trinity is Sunday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Bonnie Parker will serve as the guest pastor.

A Father’s Day reception follows worship.

Domino Party is Monday at 1 p.m.

Visitors’ Center 

The Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot and Museum is open on the second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It is located at 248 E Sylvan, Carmine, TX 78932, which is on the south side of Highway 290.
