La Grange Police Respond to Several Theft Calls
Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 4-11.
Assault
On Sept. 5, Officer Justin Koehne investigated an assault in the 500 block of E. Fannin. Suspect was arrested.
Accident
On Sept. 6, Chief David Gilbreath responded to the 200 block of W. Milam for an accident with no injuries.
On Sept. 8, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 1500 block of N. Jefferson in response to a private property accident.
Animal Complaint
On Sept. 9, Koehne was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for an animal complaint. Pet locked in a vehicle.
Burglary of Vehicle
On Sept. 6, Officer John Wostarek responded to the 200 block of W. Colorado for a burglary of a vehicle.
Criminal Mischief
On Sept. 4, Keeney responded to the 400 block of W Fairgrounds Rd. in response to a report of criminal mischief.
Civil Matter
On Sept. 4, Keeney responded to the 700 block of E. Travis for a civil matter. On Sept. 4, Keeney responded to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a civil matter.
Disturbance
On Sept. 5, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Koenig in regards to two subjects yelling at each other.
On Sept. 5, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of Koenig in regard to a disturbance. Subject involved in disturbance was later located and arrested.
On Sept. 7, Officer Kevin Currington responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to loud noise. Officer advised subject to stop making noise.
On Sept. 9, Koehne was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington for a disturbance. Subject involved was gone upon arrival.
On Sept. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1200 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a verbal disturbance.
On Sept. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Washington in regard to disorderly conduct. Officer arrived and subject had already left.
Harassment
On Sept. 6, Koehne spoke with a caller in regard to harassment in the 900 block of N. Jefferson.
Motorist Assist
On Sept. 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1500 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a motorist assist. On Sept. 6, Keeney assisted a motorist in the 300 block of W. Travis.
Reckless Diving
On Sept. 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Jackson in regard to a reckless driver.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Sept. 4, Currington was dispatched to the 2100 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for a subject behind the building. Officer upon arrival could not locate the subject.
On Sept. 5, Keeney saw a suspicious person in the 600 block of N. Washington On Sept. 6, Gilbreath responded to the 400 block of E. Colorado for a person walking on Colorado St. with a buck knife in her belt. On Sept. 6, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Washington in regard to a suspicious person. On Sept. 8, Keeney observed suspicious vehicle and person at a closed retail store in the 100 block of S. Brown. On Sept. 8, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington for possible burning wire. Officer on arrival did not locate a fire. On Sept. 9-Maxwell was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass in regards to a suspicious vehicle.
On Sept. 10, Koehne spoke with a caller about a suspicious text message in the 200 block of Northpointe.
Theft
On Sept. 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of Sarah Jo in regards to theft of a campaign sign On Sept. 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1400 block of W State Hwy .71 business in regard to theft.
On Sept. 7, Currington spoke with a subject in the 700 block of N. Washington in reference to a theft.
On Sept. 9, Maxwell spoke with a subject at the police station in regard to theft.
On Sept. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Travis in regard to theft.
Welfare Check
On Sept. 4, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Main for a subject walking down the road yelling to himself. Officer arrived and spoke with the subject and daughter arrived and subject calmed down.
On Sept. 8, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main for a welfare check. Subject was fine.
Warrant Arrest
On Sept. 6, Wostarek arrested a subject for an outstanding warrant in the 1600 block of N. Jefferson.
Miscellaneous
On Sept. 9, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to credit card abuse.
