Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Jan. 29 through Feb. 5.
Accident
On Jan. 31, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident.
On Feb. 2, Officer Justin Koehne responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for a minor accident. No damage reported.
On Feb. 3, Sgt. Travis Anderson worked a one-vehicle accident in the 1000 block of E. Travis.
On Feb. 5, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Horton for an accident.
Animal Complaint
Jn. 30, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager put a dog back in the yard in the 400 block of S. Vail.
On Jan. 31, Ahlschlager picked up two dogs in the 200 block of Northpointe.
On Feb. 1, Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 800 block of S. Jefferson.
On Feb. 1, Ahlschlager checked on a dog in the 2000 block of Monroe however was unable to locate.
On Feb. 2, Officer Justin Koehne put up a loose cow in the 700 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.
On Feb. 3, Anderson received a call in regards to a found dog in the 1000 block of Hwy. 159.
Criminal Mischief
On Feb. 3, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Washington for criminal mischief.
Civil Matter
On Jan. 31, Officer Brett Meinardus took call from complainant in the 100 block of E. Crocket regarding a civil issue.
On Feb. 1, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of W Lowerine in regards to a child custody matter.
Citizen Assist
On Jan. 30, Meinardus took report from complaint about an individual who came to the store in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business seemingly intoxicated the previous night.
On Jan. 31, Archerd spoke with a citizen at the police station about a matter.
Driving While Intoxicated On Jan. 29, Haynie was dispatched to the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass in regards to a subject with a gun. Officer arrested the subject for driving while intoxicated.
Disturbance
On Jan. 31, Meinardus witnessed verbal disturbance in the 100 block of E. Crockett and intervened and separated the parties involved.
On Feb. 2, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of Edgewood Lane in regards to a verbal disturbance. Subjects were separated after speaking to the officer.
On Feb. 4, Anderson received a call in regards to a patient at St. Mark’s causing a disturbance.
Family Violence
On Jan. 29, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Ellinger in regards to family violence.
On Jan. 30, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 300 block of N. Franklin in response to family violence. Assault with injury.
Juvenile Complaint
On Feb. 4, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of Northpointe for a juvenile complaint.
Reckless Driving
On Jan. 29, Koehne arrested a subject in the 900 block of Mode Ln. for reckless driving after cutting donuts in the paring lot at White Rock Park.
On Jan. 30, Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson for a reckless driver.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person
On Jan. 30, Archerd was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Pearl for a suspicious vehicle.
On Jan. 30, Keeney responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy.71 for a suspicious person.
On Feb. 3, Keeney responded to the 1800 block of Hwy.159 for a suspicious vehicle.
On Feb. 4, Anderson checked the 100 block of Holloway for a suspicious vehicle parked for an extended period of time.
On Feb. 4, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of E. Fannin for a suspicious vehicle.
Sexual Assault
On Feb. 3, Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for a juvenile sexual assault.
Theft
On Jan. 29, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business in regards to a theft.
On Feb. 2, Haynie was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Roitsch in regards to a theft.
On Feb. 3, Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for a theft.
Trespassing
On Jan. 29, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Reynolds in regards to a possible trespassing.
On On Feb. 2, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Reynolds in regards to possible trespassing.
Warrant Arrest
On Feb. 2, Wostarek arrested a subject in the 200 block of N. Main for an outstanding felony warrant.
Welfare Check
On Feb. 4, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Fannin for a welfare check.
On Feb. 4, Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson for a welfare check.
