Accident
City of La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 11-18.
On Sept. 11, Officer John Wostarek took information in the 300 block of College for an accident. On Sept. 13, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident.
On Sept. 14, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of FM 609 for an accident. On Sept. 15, Officer Justin Koehne worked a one vehicle accident in the 900 lock of E. Colorado. On Sept. 16, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to a hit and run accident in the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass. On Sept. 17, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy 71 Business for a minor accident. On Sept. 17, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of S. Vail for a hit and run.
Animal Complaint
On Sept. 11, Koehne responded to the 700 block of N. Franklin for an animal complaint.
On Sept. 12, Currington was dispatched to the 1800 block of Hwy. 159 for a black cow that was out. Officer did not find the animal. On Sept. 12, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of N. Franklin for a dog barking.
Agency Assist
On Sept. 17, Meinardus assisted trooper with a DWI at One St. Mark’s Place.
Citizen Assist
On Sept. 15, Officer Mitchell Maxell responded to the 400 block of S. Jefferson for a citizen assist.
Civil Matter
On Sept. 13, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington for subjects arguing over a civil matter. Officer advised subjects of civil options.
On Sept. 16, Keeney spoke with an individual in the 100 block of N. Washington about a civil matter. On Sept. 16, Keeney spoke with a caller concerning a civil matter in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
Driving While Intoxicated
On Sept. 11, Maxwell was dispatched to S. Brown and Diers Ln. in regard to a possibly intoxicated driver.
Disturbance
Fraud Found Property Juvenile Complaint
On Sept. 11, Koehne responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison for a subject inside his apartment yelling and hitting on the walls. On Sept. 13, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of Mode Ln. in regard to loud music. Officer arrived and advised subjects to turn the music down.
On Sept. 13, Currington was dispatched to the 1000 block of Madison for a subject yelling and banging on walls. Officer arrived and advised the subject to quiet down. On Sept. 13, Keeney responded to the 900 block of Fannin for loud music. Officer could not find any loud music.
On Sept. 15, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Ellinger for a disturbance. Officer took information.
On Sept. 16, Currington was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for loud disruptive subjects. Subjects left prior to officer’s arrival.
On Sept. 13, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regards to a fraud.
On Sept. 14, Maxwell found property in the 900 block of Mode Ln.
On Sept. 12, Officer Curtis Zwahr received information in regards to a juvenile in the 300 block of S. Jackson. On Sept. 16, Anderson received a call in regards to a juvenile disturbance in the 400 block of E. Milam.
Missing Person
On Sept. 17, Anderson received a call in regards to a missing person at One St. Mark’s Place.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Sept. 12, Meinardus responded to a suspicious person in the 100 block of N. Washington .
On Sept. 12, Keeney responded to the 300 block of N. Washington for suspicious person.
On Sept. 12, Keeney responded to the 100 block of E. Fannin in response to suspicious vehicle. On Sept. 13, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Washington for possibly a burglary of a motor vehicle and no burglary. Officer assisted subject in jump-starting vehicle.
On Sept. 14, Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Camp in regards to a suspicious person.
On Sept. 15, Maxwell checked on a suspicious person in the 1400 block of W. State Hwy 71 Business. On Sept. 15, Koehne responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline about suspicious circumstances.
On Sept. 15, Koehne was dispatched to the 600 block of E. State Hwy 71 bypass for person acting strange. Subject was taken to the hospital by EMS for evaluation .
