La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 31 through Aug. 7.

Animal Complaint

On Aug. 1, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 300 block of S. Brown for a loose dog in the area. Officer was unable to locate the dog.

On Aug. 1, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for a loose dog. Animal control arrived and pursued dog.

Accident

On July 31, Officer Justin Koehne responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident in the parking lot.

On Aug. 1, Currington responded to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for an accident. No injuries. On Aug. 1, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an accident.

On Aug. 5, Currington was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. Hwy. 71 Business in reference to a minor accident. Officer took information.

Civil Matter

On Aug. 1, Meinardus responded to the 900 block of E Colorado regarding an ongoing issue that is the subject of a civil dispute. On Aug. 2, Currington responded to the 900 block of E. Colorado concerning a civil matter and advised of possible civil options.

Citizen Assist

On July 31, Keeney responded to the 400 block of N. Jefferson to assist a citizen. On Aug. 2, Keeney responded to the 400 block of E. Travis to assist a citizen. On Aug. 3, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Eblin in regards to a citizen assist. On Aug. 5, Keeney spoke with a caller about a possible identity theft.

Criminal Mischief

On July 31, Keeney responded to the 900 block of E. Fannin in response to a report of a broken vehicle window. On July 31, Keeney responded to the 2100 block of Oakridge and attempted to contact the complainant in response to a reported scratched vehicle.

On Aug. 3, Keeney responded to the 900 block of N. Horton in response to a broken window.

On Aug. 4, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Koenig regarding criminal mischief. On Aug. 5, Currington responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in reference to criminal mischief.

Disturbance

On Aug. 2, Keeney responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison in response to a non-family disturbance. On Aug. 2, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of E. Pearl for a disturbance. On Aug. 3, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Crockett regarding a verbal disturbance. On Aug. 4, Keeney responded to the 700 block of S. Jackson in response to a disturbance.

On Aug. 6, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Koenig for a family disturbance. Officer upon arrival made an arrest.

Family Violence

On Aug. 3, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Crockett regarding family violence.

Harassment

On Aug. 3, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison regarding harassment.

On Aug. 3, Wostarek spoke with a caller regarding harassment.

Juvenile Complaint

On Aug. 1, Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Main for two lost juveniles. The officer was able to find the juveniles residence and returned.

Reckless Driving

On Aug. 6, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of E. Lafayette for a report of a speeding car.

Suspicious Vehicle/Person

OnAug. 4, Maxwell checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business. On Aug. 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Travis regarding a suspicious person. On Aug. 4, Maxwell responded to the 100 block of N. Vail for a suspicious person.

On Aug. 5, Keeney responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy.71 Business to a suspicious person lying on the side of a business driveway. On Aug. 6, Meinardus responded to the 700 block of E Pearl for a suspicious vehicle.

Trespassing

On Aug. 5, Currington was dispatched to the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a subject that did not want to leave. Subject was gone upon officers arrival. On Aug. 5, Currington was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for a subject who did not want to leave. Officer arrived and gave the subject a ride to a location.

Theft

On Aug. 3, Keeney responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in response to a theft.

Traffic Hazard

Aug 3, Keeney responded to the 1200 block of W. State Hwy.71 Business in response to a traffic hazard. On Aug. 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Travis regarding a malfunctioning traffic light.

Warrant Arrest

On Aug. 5, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main in reference to a subject who had an outstanding warrant. Officer confirmed the warrant and arrested the subject and was transported to the Fayette County jail without incident.

Miscellaneous

On July 31, Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of Heintze regarding loud music.

On July 31, Maxwell observed a traffic violation in the 600 block of E. Eblin. Officer conducted a traffic stop and subject was found in possession of marijuana. On July 31, Koehne spoke with a caller about a missing person.
