Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 26-April 1.
Animal Complaint
On March 28, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager picked up a dog and returned to owner in the 500 block of N. Jackson.
On March 29, Ahlschlager picked up a cat in the 200 block of E. Fannin which was then impounded.
On March 29, Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 600 block of N. Monroe which was then impounded.
On March 29, Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 1000 block of E. Eblin and it was then impounded.
On March 29, Ahlschlager put a cow back in the pasture in the 500 block of N. Main.
On March 29, Ahlschlager picked up two dogs in the 100 block of E. Cedar which were then impounded.
On March 30, Ahlschlager responded to the 1700 block of State Hwy. 71 Business to have bee’s removed, called Keith’s bee services.
On March 31, Ahlschlager picked up a cat in the 300 block of N. Madison which was then impounded.
Accident
On March 27, Officer Kevin Currington witnessed a vehicle drive off from gas pump with nozzle still in the tank in the 2400 block of W. Hwy. 71.
On March 27, Currington was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Vail for an auto pedestrian accident. On March 27, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a two vehicle accident in the 400 block of E. Travis.
On March 29, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to 100 block of FM 609 for a two vehicle accident.
On April 1, Anderson responded to a two vehicle minor accident in the 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.
Burglary
On March 26, Officer Jeff Archerd observed the front door in the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 busted out. Officer located the suspects’ vehicle and two suspects were arrested for burglary.
Civil Matter
On March 26, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Horton to a civil matter.
On March 31, Officer Brett Meinardus talked to caller in regard to a child custody issue.
On March 31, Officer Thomas Keeney spoke to caller in regard to a civil matter in the 700 block of S. Jefferson.
Criminal Mischief
On March 28, Anderson received a call in regard to a possible criminal mischief in the 900 block of Mode lane.
Disturbance
On March 26, Officer John Wostarek responded to the 100 block of NW Circle for a disturbance.
On March 28, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Travis for a disturbance.
On March 30, Haynie was dispatched to the 1500 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a disturbance.
On April 1, Keeney responded to the 200 block of Travis in response to a disturbance. Juvenile Complaint
On March 27, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 300 block of S. Jackson in regard to a juvenile.
On March 28, Zwahr received information in regard to two juveniles in the 300 block of S. Jackson.
Public Intoxication
On March 29, Keeney was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main in response to a disturbance. Reckless Driver
On March 30,Archerd was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Upperline in regard to reckless driving.
Suspicious Vehicle/Subject On March 29, Archerd was dispatched to the 900 block of Mode Lane in regard to a suspicious vehicle.
On March 30, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Vail in regard to a suspicious person.
On March 31, Anderson responded to the 2000 block of Hwy. 71 for a suspicious person.
On April 1, Keeney responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a suspicious person.
On April 1, Anderson responded to the 200 block of S. Ellnger for suspicious circumstances. Terroristic Threat
On April 1, Anderson responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for possible threats made at the location.
Miscellaneous
On March 29, Archerd was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Colorado in regard to a possible scam.
