La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 24 through May 1.

Animal Complaint

On April 24, Officer John Wostarek spoke with caller in the 800 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a cat that climbed up a tree and would not come down. Officer advised that when the cat wanted food or water it would climb back down the tree.

On April 26, Officer Brett Meinardus took a report of a dog out and barking in the 300 block of N. Jackson.

On April 28, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 1200 block of Carroll Ln. in response to a cow running loose.

Accident

On April 25, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of S. Madison for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.

On April 25, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for a twovehicle accident with no injuries.

On April 25, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to an auto pedestrian accident in the HEB parking lot in the 400 block of E. Travis.

On April 30, Meinardus took a call of an 18-wheeler that had struck a pole and continued driving. Officer checked the area in the 100 block of E. Travis and was unable to locate any damage.

Burglary

On April 28, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis in regard to a burglary of a vehicle.

Disturbance

On April 24, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Ellinger in regard to a verbal disturbance. Officer arrived and talked to two subjects and they were separated for the night.

On April 24, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Travis in regard to a domestic dispute.

On April 24, Wostrek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to verbal disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with both subjects. Both advised it was verbal only and they were separate for the night.

Family Violence

On April 27, Keeney responded to the 300 block of S. Ellinger in response to possible assault.

Fraud

On April 26, Investigator Troy Stevens took a report of subjects hacking into complainant’s AT&T account and ordering three phones.

Harassment

On April 26, Officer Kevin Currington responded to the 300 block of Rose Mayer Loop and spoke with subjects about phone harassment.

Public Intoxication

On April 28, Keeney responded to the 900 block of Greenspointe in response to a vehicle blocking the road. A subject taking responsibility of the vehicle was intoxicated.

On April 29, Currington arrested a subject for public intoxication in the 200 block of Ellinger.

Reckless Driving

On April 27, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Pecan in regard to reckless driving.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On April 27, Maxwell responded to the 100 block of Bluffview in regard to suspicious circumstances.

On April 28, Keeney responded to the 100 block of S. Brown for a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot.

On April 30, Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 for a suspicious person coming into the store frequently.

Theft

On April 29, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of E. Travis for a stolen car component.

Trespassing

On April 27, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson in regards to a subject that was trespassing.

Welfare Check

On April 24, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Pecan in regard to a welfare check.

On April 28, Keeney responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a welfare check.

On April 28, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2400 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a welfare check.

Civil Matter

On April 29, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of N. Monroe for a civil matter.

Miscellaneous

On April 28, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Crockett in regard to loud music. Subjects turned off the music for the night after speaking with the officer.

On April 30, Currington responded to the 300 block of Plum Church Rd. and spoke with subject about a lost wallet.
