Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Jan. 8, 14.
Accident
On Jan. 11, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Madison for a minor accident with one minor injury.
On Jan. 13, Officer Justin Koehne responded to the 100 block of S. FM 609 for a twovehicle accident.
Agency Assist
On Jan. 10, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regard to an agency assist.
Animal Complaint
On Jan. 9, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on a barking dog in the 800 block of N. Monroe. Owner will take care of it.
On Jan. 12, Currington spoke with a subject at the police station in regard to an animal concern.
Citizen Assist
On Jan. 10, Officer John Wostarek responded to the 900 block of S. Jefferson where a subject locked keys in vehicle. Subject was given number for a towing company.
On Jan. 13, Officer Mitchell Maxwell spoke to caller in regards to a citizen assist in the 900 block of Mode Lane.
Disturbance
On Jan. 9, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to a disturbance.
On Jan. 13, Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson in regard to loud people.
Forgery
On Jan. 9, Wostarek spoke with a subject in regard to a forgery incident in the 400 block of E. Colorado.
Harassment
On Jan. 10, Haynie spoke with complainant in the 800 block of S. Washington in regard to online harassment.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person On Jan. 8, Sgt. Travis Anderson located a suspicious vehicle (occupied) on the side of a building in the 1700 lock of E. State Hwy 71 bypass.
On Jan. 8, Currington checked on a vehicle at the park in the 900 block of Hanacek.
On Jan. 10, Haynie checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of E. Travis.
On Jan. 11, Anderson received a call in regard to a suspicious person in the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.
On Jan. 11, Anderson located an unoccupied vehicle parked in the McDonald’s parking lot.
On Jan. 11, Office Thomas Keeney responded to the 1700 block of State Hwy 71 business in response to a suspicious vehicle.
On Jan. 12, Anderson observed a occupied vehicle parked in an empty parking lot of a business in the 500 block of N. Jackson.
On Jan. 13, Haynie was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business in regard to a suspicious person.
Theft
On Jan. 10, Wostarek took information in the 100 block of S. Brown for a theft at the location.
On Jan. 12, Officer Brett Meinardus received a call from complainant that advised his checkbook was taken form his vehicle in the 700 block of N. Main.
Welfare Check
On Jan. 8, Currington checked on a subject in the 200 block W. Colorado.
On Jan. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis in regard to a welfare check.
On Jan. 10, Koehne looked for a subject in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business who was asking for money. Subject was gone from location when officer arrived.
On Jan. 11, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. FM 609 for a welfare concern.
On Jan. 12, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Live Oak to check on a subject.
On Jan. 13, Haynie was dispatched the 500 block of N. College in regard to a welfare check.
