La Grange Main Street’s 30th Anniversary Party Draws a Big Crowd to Downtown
To celebrate the 30th anniversary La Grange first being designated an official Main Street City by the State of Texas, the city hosted a downtown party Friday with a large turnout. Hundreds brought lawnchairs to sit on the courthouse lawn (above) and listen to live music, including by Fayette County’s own Briana Adams (pictured lower right). There was also a huge inflatable Minecraft bouncy house. There were also a number of food and drink vendors set up downtown, and all were doing brisk business (lower, left). La Grange is one of 81 Main Street cities in Texas. The Main Street program allows La Grange city officials to tap into state coordinating programs that help achieve revitalization and preservation goals.
