La Grange Church Celebrates Girl Scouts

The First Presbyterian Church in La Grange celebrated Girl Scouts on Sunday, March 10 with local scouts and their leaders.

Girl Scout Troop No. 32077 along with Pastor Martha Langford and scout leader Rebecca Hegar and assistants Anna Hegar and Jennifer Emmel were recognized along with scouts Hallie Gross, Emmy Neel, Adalyn Emmel and Vyvynne Friemel.

A display of vintage girl scout uniforms, handbooks and other items were on display. The church wanted to honor the troop for Girl Scout Week.

The four participating troop members collected food for AMEN, two served as liturgists, and the four collected the offering. At the luncheon they sang the Johnny Appleseed blessing and recited the girl scout promise and the girl scout laws.
