The American Legion, Department of Texas, will sponsor the 82nd session of Texas Boys State at the University of Texas at Austin on June 12-17. Nine boys from La Grange High School have been selected to attend. They include (seated, from left) Joshua Little, Landon Little, Austin Nedbalek and Clayton Knapik. American Legion Post 102 of La Grange and the La Grange American Legion Auxiliary recognized local students heading to Boys and Girls State this summer.

Texas Boys State will take place June 12-17 at the University of Texas at Austin. Texas Girls State will take place June 19-25 at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. Several local organizations sponsor the students to cover the cost of attending.

Nine local boys will attend Boys State they are listed below along with their sponsors:

Jaxon Cooper, sponsored by the La Grange Noon Lions Club;

Andrew Faske, sponsored by American Legion Post 102;

Evan Lamb, sponsored by American Legion Post 102;

Corbin Supak, sponsored by La Grange Knights of Columbus Council 2574;

Joshua Little, sponsored by the La Grange Evening Lions Club;

Landon Little, sponsored by VFW Post 5254 of La Grange;

Austin Nedbalek, sponsored by the La Grange Optimist Club; and
