Dana and Darrell Kulak traveled to the Fort Worth area for a baby shower for Miko and Elton Kulak who are expecting Dana and Darrell’s first grandbaby in April. It was a beautiful shower and everybody got to decorate a bib for little “bean.” They had a fun game of having the guys all do “bottles up” and drink a baby bottle of apple juice. Fun was had by all especially the ladies getting to watch.

Great Granddaughter

Devon Boehnke is proud to add another great grandbaby to his family. Granddaughter Ruth Cruz and husband Dan ushered in Laurel Esperanza Cruz into this world on March 18 in Lubbock. Laurel weighted six pounds seven ounces and measured nineteen inches long. This makes six great grandbabies so far for Devon with more expected in the near future.

Out And About

Devon Boehnke’s daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jack Field of Magnolia came in for a visit. They grabbed Devon up and headed out on some day trip adventures. They drove over to Buescher State Park and Bastrop State Parks one day and just enjoyed driving through all the beautiful country side seeing the wildflowers and spring blooms. On another day they drove over to Palmetto State Park to enjoy the sights in that park. It was a great time for them to catch up and make some great memories, plus plan future trips to see more sights.

Reed Rightmer arrived for Spring Break to help his parents, Jennifer and Clay Rightmer around the place. He also got to be treated to his mom’s great cooking.

Debra and John Schwartzenburg enjoyed a visit from their grandkids Addie and Oliver Mitchell and of course their parents, Michelle and Tommy Mitchell. The Mitchells came from Connecticut to spend some time with the Texas part of the family. It was perfect timing with all the beautiful wildflowers in bloom.

Also coming in for a visit at the Schwartzenburgs was David and Alejandra and son Lucian Schwartzenburg from New Caney; Becky and Will Transwich of Houston; Kathleen, Zack and Sidney Sheldon of Waco. Julia Speed, Victoria and Jason Guerrero along with their daughters Juliana and Jocelyn all made the trip out to Muldoon for some fun in the Bluebonnets. They all wanted to see the Connecticut part of the family too.

Cowboy Church

Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is hard at work putting finishing touches on their new worship center (the Muldoon Community Center) just behind the park. They want to invite everyone to come out and join them for their first gathering in Muldoon on Palm Sunday, April 2 beginning with coffee and doughnuts at 9:30 a.m. along with lots of visiting and fellowship. Worship services will begin at 10 a.m.

Rain

Muldoon was blessed with a little rain this last week. Around six tenths fell in the area one day and drizzled all day on another, all of the moisture is helping bring on the beautiful wildflowers. Temperatures were a little on the chilly side with at least one morning being in the thirties. Winds have been strong off and on and did blow down some dead branches. Seems spring has arrived with lots of gusty winds and a bit of a chill at times.
