Knox Memorial Scholarship Now Open, Accepting Applications

Applications are now being accepted for The Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial Scholarship. This is a four year academic based scholarship for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2024. Applications are due May 1 and are available from the school or from Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.

FLHS Spring Raffle 

Tickets are now on sale for the Faith Lutheran High School Spring Raffle. Tickets are $20 each. The drawing will be held the week of March 4-8, during National Lutheran Schools Week. Rabbs Creek Wildlife 

Rabbs Creek Wildlife Spring Meeting will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18 at the Holy Cross picnic grounds. Social begins at 4 p.m. the meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Meal and refreshments will be provided and members may bring a dessert or snacks, if they wish.

South Lee County VFD 

The South Lee County Volunteer Fire Department will have barbecue chickens available on Sunday, Feb. 25. Pick up is from 10 a.m.-noon at the Serbin picnic grounds. Chickens are $12 each, 16 oz. cups of sauce, potato salad, pinto beans and noodles are $3 each. Orders are due by Monday, Feb. 19 and can be placed by calling (979) 242-3333.

St. Paul PTLS Chili Supper 

St. Paul Lutheran PTLS Chili Supper, auction and 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off will be held at the Serbin Picnic Grounds on Sunday, March 3. Cook-off judging and silent auction (4:30-5:30 p.m.),live auction (5:30 p.m.), chili/hot dog supper (5-7 p.m.). There will also be a bake sale from 5 p.m. until sold out. Meal tickets are $7. The Chili Cookoff will have cash prizes and all proceeds for this event benefit future projects and improvements for St. Paul Lutheran School and Early Childhood Center. Holy Cross Youth Group 

The Holy Cross Youth Group Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, March 10. This drive-thru meal will include pork steak, noodles, green beans and corn. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at Holy Cross Church Office, La Grange Chevron, First National Bank in Giddings or from any youth group member. Tickets are pre-sale only and this fundraiser will help pay for the annual youth trip and fund other summer activities. Pick up will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Holy Cross Picnic Grounds 600 FM 1482 in Warda. There will also be a bake sale set up for scrumptious desserts.

Bluff Creek Ranch

Son Time Weekend Getaway Tejas Camp and Retreat Center will be hosting their Father and Son Time Weekend Getaway on Feb. 23-25. Caisley Grace Schubert was Baptized Sunday, Feb. 11 at Holy Cross Lutheran. Caisley is the daughter of Colton and Carleigh (Hightower) Schubert.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.
