KJZT St. Anne’s Society Meets

The meeting of the KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Feb. 20 at St. John’s Recreation Hall. President Mary Jane Toddy opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 9 members present.

Rose Rohde read the minutes from the previous meeting. Helen Wied reported on cards received and sent out and Lois Kaspar gave the Treasurer’s report.

In new business, the group voted to donate gift baskets to the CDA fundraiser on March 3 and to the St John’s Alter Society fundraiser on April 27. St Anne’s sent a donation to the Czech Foundation. It was announced that Joy Kovar is the new District III director.

Important upcoming dates were discussed. St. Anne’s will host Bingo at TLC in Columbus on April 16, from 3-4 p.m. and the DCCW Deanery meeting will be held in Rockdale on April 23. Members were reminded of the 2024 District Meeting to be held in Nada.

Attendance prize winner was Lois Kaspar and the next meeting will be held Tuesday, May 21.

During the closing prayer for all deceased members, two recently passed members - Pat Sury and Madeline (Orsak) Petrosky were recognized. After the meeting was adjourned, lunch and social followed.
