Kathy Chlumsky Enjoys Shopping in Austin
ULDOON News
Kathy Chlumsky enjoyed a little time with her daughters, Jennifer and Summer, when she went to Austin and the Domain for a mother/daughter shopping day. They had wonderful fun Christmas shopping and then enjoyed a great lunch together. Over all it was the time spent catching up and just enjoying each other’s company.
John and Debra Schwartzenburg traveled to see their grandchildren, Addie and Oliver, along with their parents, Michelle and Tommy Mitchell in Hamden, Connecticut, for Thanksgiving and an early Christmas with them. It was a special time for Debra she got to make her grandmother’s Pecan Tassie recipe with Addie and Michelle. Addie, who is two, really got into the whole process. The whole kitchen had to be cleaned, floors, counters along with clothes after the cooking.
Nancie and Billy Blair enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family. Nancie’s sister, Lu Ginapp and brother in law Fred brought Nancie’s mom, Elaine Lang, from the Fort Worth area. Also coming in for the gathering were Nancie and Billy’s daughter Heather Tillerson and her children, Kelley and Valerie Schick, along with their other daughter, Teresa Holland, and Chris Mitchell. They all had great fun with games and food at Luther Hill.
Hogs
The hogs have come back with a vengeance. The softer ground has led to hogs causing tremendous damage to the pastures. This also has lead to them crossing local roadways and getting hit. Please take care when driving in and around the area.
Local Color
The local roadways have become beautiful in fall colors. It seems a little late this year, but the colors are gorgeous. FM 154 has some beautiful trees turning all kinds of fall colors that make the drive very pleasant. Take time in the near future to drive around the area and admire the wonderful display of color, because the winds have been blowing. Temperatures have leveled off and have been very mild and moist.
Neighborhood Watch
Be sure to take time during the Christmas season and stop and check on your neighbors. Get to know them. There are lots of new folks in the area and we need to get to know each other. We all have to pull together to make sure to keep the area safe by watching out for each other.
