Karisch Family Attends Mississippi Youth Expo

Carissa, Brandon, Rheagan, and Rilan Karisch attended the Mississippi Youth Expo Dec. 8-11.

They hauled seven head of show cattle for the event. Several head placed first in their classes; Rilan showed his cow calf pair- Duchess and Diesel and placed second. Rheagan placed first in class with her bull - Bubba’s Chaos. They had fun showing with other cattle fans and learning new things.

Also attending were Laurie and Curtis Karisch of Rutersville, and Steven Karisch of College Station. Matt, Brandi, Mason and Miles Karisch of Mississippi also participated in the event. This was the third year for the Karisch clan to gather at the Expo and celebrate Christmas together.

Advent Worship Schedule The Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County has shared its Advent Worship schedule. Soup Suppers are back again. Meals will be served at 6 p.m. and worship begins at 7 p.m. The worship rotations are as follows: Dec. 14- Fayetteville; Dec. 21 (longest night service)- Rutersville.

SLM Christmas Eve Services Christmas Eve Services for the Shared Lutheran Ministry have been announced. Worship with Pastor Jen will be in Warrenton at 5 p.m. and at St. John Ellinger at 7 p.m. Services led by Pastor Jill will be in Fayetteville at 6 p.m. and in Rutersville at 8 p.m.

Hermann Sons Life

The Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will meet on Monday, Dec. 19 at the Ellinger Fire Station. The meeting will get underway at 6 p.m. For more information contact Diane Marusik.

Congregational Meeting

St. John Lutheran Church of Ellinger will be holding its annual Congregational Meeting following the 8 a.m. worship on Sunday, Jan. 8. St. Paul Lutheran in Fayetteville will also have their annual meeting on that date. St. John in Rutersville will have their annual meeting on Sunday, Jan. 15, following the 10 a.m. worship.

Christmas Day Worship

The Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County will be having a joint worship on Christmas day at 8:30 a.m. at St. John’s Warrenton and on Jan. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. John Rutersville.

Fayetteville Brethren Church Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.

Ellinger C of C

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, Jan. 15 at the Ellinger Community Center. Additionally a Chicken Noodle Soup Lunch and Bake Sale has been scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 29.
