La Grange senior baseball player Kadyn Hall tossed a 7-3 outing for the Leopards first win of the season in a recent matchup against Cuero High School. Hall is also a catcher on the team, which demands a heavy workload and a high baseball IQ on the diamond. “He’s the heart of our team,” said La Grange head baseball coach Robert Barber. “He means so much to us. Not just his leadership role, but the way he handles our pitching staff behind the plate. We were kind of hoping he wouldn’t have to pitch as much this year, but he’s had to take on that role with some injuries we’ve had early on in the year. He did a fantastic job against Cuero to get us our first win of the year. We’re just looking for big things for him and it couldn’t happen to a better kid.” Hall provides the full package and then some for the Leps, making him our choice for this edition’s Player of the Week.
