Juneteenth Committee Events Coming Up This Weekend

Friday June 17, 2022

10-5 p.m. – Houston Museum of African American Culture, Frame of Reference, photographic exhibit at the Fayette County Museum and Archives, 855 S. Jefferson, La Grange.

6 p.m. – Doors Open

6:15 p.m. – Introduction of King and Queen Pageant Contestants

6:30 p.m. – Gospel Music Explosion “Lord, Let Your Fire Fall” with Special Guests: The New Soul Invaders

Saturday June 18, 2022

10 a.m. - 1 p.m. – Frame of Reference photographic exhibit at Fayette County Archives, 855 S. Jefferson, La Grange, TX.

10:30 a.m. – Parade in La Grange

12-2 p.m. – Freedom Luncheon. Free-will donation community meal

12-4 p.m. – N.W. Faison House open for tours at 822 South Jefferson, La Grange. Free admission.

2-3 p.m. – Praise Dancers Performance

3-4:30 p.m. – Historical Showcase

5-7 p.m. – Kings and Queens Pageant

7:30 p.m. – Special Performance

10 a.m. – Worship service led by Apostle Peter Joseph of Peaceful Rest Community Baptist Church, La Grange.
