Jensen Excited About New Role With Fayetteville ISD
This is the next in our series on new local teachers:
Taylor Jensen is going to be coordinating special ed and teaching third grade English Language Arts and Reading at Fayetteville Independent School District. Taylor has been in education for eleven years, and has worked several different positions. She worked most recently at La Grange ISD but has also done some work with Fayetteville ISD previously.
“I chose to come to Fayetteville because I love the culture, vision, and pride that Fayetteville holds,” she said.
Taylor became a teacher because of her love for teaching growing up. “I always loved teaching my brother all of the things I knew or wanted him to know. It has always been a passion of mine to help or teach others.”
Taylor is currently working on a doctoral degree in educational leadership at Texas A&M, and she has her masters degree in curriculum and instruction with literary focus. According to Taylor her favorite thing about teaching is the kids.
“Kids are the best thing about the job, the littles are the cutest, and always have something fun to share or tell you, while the older children are maturing and you are able to be a part of the process to help support them,” she said. “It is awesome to watch the faces of the children master something for the first time and witness their sense of pride.”
