Houston Grand Opera Performs for Schools

Arts for Rural Texas is proud to announce the fall 2023 fine art assembly, the Houston Grand Opera To-Go performance of “Katie: Strongest of the Strong”. With an all-female cast, this 2020 HGO commission from composer Faye Chiao and librettist Anton Dudley is sure to inspire students and families of all ages.

This fine art assembly is underwritten by Tom Vining & Dent Beal. It is also funded in part by the support of Judy and Richard Agee. The James Dick Foundation is proud to co-sponsor this fine art assembly with Arts For Rural Texas in order to give school children of Sacred Heart Catholic school, Fayetteville ISD, La Grange ISD and local homeschooling families an unforgettable experience of opera in their exquisitely designed concert hall.

ARTS will host a unique opportunity for adults to support our mission – Join us for an elegant dinner and meet the Houston Grand Opera performers. You’ll also hear some of the songs performed in “Katie”.
