Hosts Needed For Dinner Parties

Dinner parties have been enjoyed for over 25 years in this area. Usually, 15 host couples (singles are welcomed) pay for the cost of a dinner party. Each host couple can invite up to 13 couples or 26 people. Then some of these invited people become a host for another dinner party, etc.

In 2019 there were 23 dinner parties. The last party was in March 2020 when the COVID virus started. Then there were no dinner parties until November 2022. It was enjoyed by those people who attended. During the social part of the party it got very loud. People laughing and talking – just having a really good time. It was hoped that the dinner parties were going to start up again.

It was time for another dinner party starting in 2023, which was the pre-Super Bowl Dinner party. Efforts were made to organize this party, but it was very difficult to obtain hosts. Many of the hosts of the previous dinner parties have died and some no longer are able to drive at all and some do not drive at night. There will not be as many dinner parties as before COVID so new hosts are needed – first time hosts will make it possible to have more dinner parties.

Some effort was made to organize the pre-Super Bowl Dinner party. After it was thought that it was not possible, EJ Bayer organized it and it was held on Jan. 12 and it was enjoyed by the 310 people who attended.
