Holy Cross Couples Club Fried Chicken Dinner Sunday, Nov. 24

The Couples Club at Holy Cross will host their Fried Chicken Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 24 at the picnic grounds in Warda. Drive-thru only from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. All plates are $15 each and include fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. Tickets are available from the church office or any couples club member. Advance tickets only by Monday, Nov. 18.

Voting Location 

The Holy Cross Lutheran Fellowship Hall will be used as a voting location for precinct 10 on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Pie Sale 

Faith Lutheran High School will have a Pie Sale along with the fried chicken dinner on Sunday, Nov. 24. All pies are a generous 9-inch size and are deep dish. Pre-orders only. Pecan pies are $30 each and pumpkin pies are $25 each. Place your pie order by calling FLHS at (979) 2422889 or the church office at (979) 242-3333. Deadline to order pies is Monday, Nov. 18.

Wednesday Night Bible Study The Wednesday Night Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda continues their weekly study at 6:30 p.m. in the family room. This is a study on 1 and 2 Kings. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. If you are interested in participating, please contact Cyndy Zoch to receive a study guide. Her contact email is: cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.

Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Friday, Nov. 22 from noon-2 p.m. This is a date change from the usual schedule, just for this month. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Thanksgiving Eve worship service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The midweek morning Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda is Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

FLHS will be hosting the 6th Annual Private Schools of Central Texas Cross Country Meet on Friday, Nov. 1 for students in K to 8th grade. The first race begins at 1:30 p.m.

Annual visit days schedule is as follows: 8th grade students on the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 6. This annual visit event is a great opportunity for future students to see what FLHS is all about. If you have an 8th grader and would like to bring them for a visit day, please contact the school.

FLHS will be hosting game night for 7th and 8th grade students on Friday, Nov. 8 from 6-9 p.m. at the high school. There will be lots of food, fun and fellowship.

The community is invited to join FLHS on Thursday, Nov. 21 beginning at 10:30 a.m. for the 8th Annual Thanksgiving Celebration. Rev. Thomas Obersat will be leading worship. There will be a pot-luck Thanksgiving feast lunch, immediately following chapel.
