Holy Cross Anniversary Celebration Sunday

150th Anniversary

Everyone is invited to attend the 150th Anniversary Celebration of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda on Sunday, April 23. There will be a “homecoming” worship at 9 a.m. welcoming back former members and Pastors. Refreshments will be provided at 10:30 a.m. with time for socializing, reminiscing and special greetings. There will be a catered meal with free will donation at noon. A special Anniversary Celebration Worship will be held at 3 p.m. with guest Preacher Dr. Michael Zeigler from the Lutheran Hour.

Scholarship Fund

Raffle tickets for the Amanda Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund are now on sale. This raffle is for a trip to New York City, including airfare, 3 nights at the Edison hotel, and 2 tickets to two New York Yankees games. All the money raised goes to the Amanda Knox scholarship fund. This scholarship will pay for the tuition for an incoming Faith Lutheran High School student. Drawing will be held on April 24 for the New York trip. Tickets can be purchased at the church office, La Grange Chevron or by contacting cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.

Golf Tournament

Faith Lutheran High School will be holding their annual golf tournament fundraiser on Saturday, May 13 at Frisch Auf Country Club in La Grange. Couples Club Dinner

The Couples Club at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda will have their annual BBQ Chicken Dinner on Mothers Day, May 14. Chickens are $13 and cups of sauce are $3. Pick up is at Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10:30-noon. You may place your order by calling the church office at: (979) 2423333. Deadline to pre-order is Monday, May 8.

FLHS Summer Youth Camps Faith Lutheran High School Summer Youth Camps are back. FLHS is excited to offer a variety of camps for youth this summer. Ages are for grades NEXT school year.

Camp Lone Star

Camp Lone Star in La-Grange Summer Camp Registration is now open. They offer weeklong and weekend programs for ages 5-18 to have an adventurous Christ-centered experience. Congratulations to Nikki and Jonathan Kueck and their family on the birth of Isabelle Nicole Kueck on Tuesday, April 11. She was Baptized on Sunday, April 16 at Holy Cross Lutheran. Her sponsors were Tiffany Jungmeyer and Elijah Keuck.

Faith Lutheran High School

Faith Lutheran High School will have part time openings on its faculty for the 2023-2024 academic year. Interested individuals who teach any subject are encouraged to apply, but science, social studies, English or electives are sought after skills.
