Hoffman Wins $400 Football Jackpot

Clarence Hoffman of Smithville was the winner of last week’s newspaper reader Pick-It contest sponsored by Alpha One Ford. After three weeks without a winner, Hoffman picked all 10 games correctly last week to win the prize, beating out three other folks who were also 10-for-10 (Randy Gardiner, Walter Newcomb and Bo Janda) via the score prediction tiebreaker. The contest ballot appears in every Tuesday edition. Hoffman is pictured above, left, accepting his prize money from Nick Power of Alpha One, right.
