‘Hit List’ Found at Schulenburg Junior High
This note was posted online by Schulenburg Superintendent Julie Motomura: “Early (Friday) morning as school was beginning, a hitlist was found by two staff members at the junior high in one of the classrooms. Law enforcement was immediately contacted by administration, and the responsible party was identified. At this time, that person is in the custody of law enforcement. Our staff acted swiftly and handled this matter appropriately. We would like to thank the Schulenburg Police Department for responding immediately and assisting us in ensuring our campuses are secure. Please know we will continue to be diligent in all our practices to keep our students safe while they’re at school.
I want to encourage you to speak with your children about the serious nature of making these types of threats. Schulenburg ISD has a zero tolerance policy for these kinds of statements and those responsible will be immediately reported to law enforcement.”
